Anthony Mtaka Secondary School is a government-established secondary school founded in 2018 with the main objective of improving access to quality education for students from remote and underserved areas. The school was established to support learners who previously faced long travel distances and limited educational opportunities.
At the time of its establishment, the school started with 5 teachers, 350 students, and only 5 classes. Despite these modest beginnings, the school has grown significantly through government support, community involvement, and the dedication of its teaching staff.
Currently, Anthony Mtaka Secondary School has a total enrollment of 1, 212 students , supported by 28 employed teachers and 5 part-time teachers. The school now has 44 classrooms, creating a supportive and conducive learning environment for effective teaching and learning.
The school is strategically located near Serengeti National Park, in Lamadi Ward, Lukungu District. It serves students from Lamadi and Lukungu areas, playing a vital role in expanding educational access and supporting social and economic development within the surrounding communities.
